The body-positive movement is teaching people to embrace their body types without hesitation. ACA member Dr. Chris Leeth spoke with Healthline about the value of this movement: “Body positivity is not saying it’s an excuse to be fat or unhealthy, but it’s a way of saying we don’t need to put each other down and we don’t need to put ourselves down.”

A group of body-positive activists wants to prove that body acceptance and health aren’t contradictory and losing weight shouldn’t be a person’s ultimate goal.
